Developed for passive fire protection
To provide effective passive fire protection, the Variflex EI 30 movable wall system is made up of a sturdy support structure comprised of steel and aluminium profiles, plus proven sealing technology and multi-layered wall claddings. The construction also provides acoustic insulation with sound reduction ratings up to Rw 57 dB.
Fire resistance class determined in the test laboratory
To assess the fire protection class, one wall face of the Variflex EI 30 with integrated pass door was exposed under laboratory conditions to a direct flame for more than 30 minutes, and then classified in accordance with the new Euronorm EN 13501-2. With a fire load on one side, the closed and clamped Variflex movable wall offers a fire resistance rating of 30 minutes.
Pass door tested compliant with EN 1634-1
When closed, the partition will help to protect emergency exit and escape routes from fire. Hence the Variflex EI 30 is particularly suited to installation in spaces where there is a constant flow of public traffic. Special benefits: The Variflex EI 30 can also be equipped with a pass door tested compliant with EN 1634-1.
